Brisbane’s property market is tipped to continue its solid performance through 2018, as buyer activity in the inner-western suburbs remained strong over the Christmas period and house hunters continued their search throughout the holidays.

While others may have had a quiet end to the year, December proved to be one of our busier months with 5 new listings coming on the market for sale and another 7 for rent.

Of those we had for sale, 3 properties sold throughout December, 3 were leased and a further 2 have pending applications which are likely to proceed in the coming days.

The fact that Brisbane’s inner-western suburbs, particularly Toowong, Taringa and St Lucia, remained strong throughout the Christmas period just goes to show that demand for our sought-after area continues to be high regardless of the time of year.

We find early January and the summer months are one of the best times of year to sell or lease property, as relocating families are eager to secure a home and get their kids settled into new schools as quickly as possible.

If you’re thinking about selling or leasing a property, now could be an opportune time to take advantage of increasing buyer activity.
