The latest edition to Toowong’s restaurant scene is Hooch & Co.
A modern Australian eatery with an Asian twist on some of your favourite dishes. This Toowong restaurant is a nice change of pace for the area, offering some variety and fresh flare to the traditional café menu.
Pork Belly Benedict, Korean Fried Chicken Burgers, Poke Bowls and Bahn Mi are just some of the delicious items you’ll find at Hooch & Co.

The creative menu was inspired by Head Chef Nick Webster, who has combined his love of Asian cuisine with crowd favourites like Avocado, Hommus & Goat’s Cheese, Wagyu Beef Burgers and Fish Tacos.
Butter Poached Fish Tacos
If you’re looking for something sweet, you will not be able to walk past their range of homemade sweets and pastries which are made daily. Try a delicious Chocolate Babka, Custard Filled Doughnut, French Croissant or Dark Chocolate & Pistachio Brownie.
Not only do these sweet treats look and taste great, but they go perfectly with Hooch & Co’s hand-crafted coffee selection.
The Reformatory Caffeine Lab
Owner Giustino Antonio has teamed up with the Reformatory Caffeine Lab to select three coffee blends which offer unique flavour profiles.
“Our house blend is medium to smooth with a little nuttiness at the end. The Costa Rica is a really gorgeous soft, well balanced coffee and the Colombian is more like an iced long black – so it’s a combo of a little feminine and floral.”
Whether you’re on your way home or working from home, the adjoining Bootleg Bar is the perfect spot to grab a drink after work and watch the bustle of Sherwood Road.
Open from 4pm Thursday to Saturday, the nibbles menu includes Chicken Karaage which is an ideal accompaniment to a Hibiki Japanese Whisky.

As the area continues to grow with developments such as Illumina, Scape and the proposed Toowong Town Centre, Sherwood Road is becoming a hub for locals looking to eat out in Brisbane’s inner-western suburbs.
“What we’re trying to do is add a bit of variety to the Toowong restaurant scene. Our menu has some fresh and fun flavours which everyone seems to be loving.”
Okonomiyaki Pancakes
Located on the corner of Jephson Street and Sherwood Road, Hooch & Co is perfectly placed to watch the world go by, whilst you enjoy Okonomiyaki Pancakes or a Pork Belly & Kimchi Burger.
The breakfast menu is available Wednesday to Sunday from 7am to 11:45am, whilst the burgers, sandwiches and lunch menu are available from 11:45am to 2:30pm.
There is plenty of free parking available for customers underneath the Jephson Hotel, which is accessed via Sherwood Road.
