We have rounded up a list of school holiday activities to do in Inner-West Brisbane.
Putt Putt at St Lucia Golf Links

Mt Coot-tha and Botanical Gardens
Always a favourite with young families, Mt Coot-tha is a sure-fire way to entertain the kids.
Start at the Botanical Gardens with a tour through the Hide ‘n’ Seek Children’s Trail, before visiting the Planetarium for a show. End the day with a drive up to Mt Coot-tha for an ice-cream and a glimpse of the city.
Guaranteed to get the kids napping on the drive home.
Get Outdoors in the Garden
Spring has sprung so now is the perfect time to get out in the garden with the kids!
The Brisbane City Council’s Compost Rebate Program is a fantastic way to educate kids on the importance of reducing food wastage. Eligible Brisbane residents can claim up to $70 off composting equipment and worm farms through the rebate.
Worm farms are easy to take care of and can teach young children responsibility. Plus, you can then use the compost or worm castings to freshen up your gardens. It’s a win-win!

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the world’s largest koala sanctuary and it is located in the heart of the Inner-Western suburbs of Brisbane!
With programs designed for a range of specific ages groups, there will be an interest for every child.
Kids can meet a koala, hang out with kangaroos or visit the platypuses – but be sure to book in quick because school holiday availability never lasts long.
Sunday Social on the Green
Jump onto an e-scooter, e-bike, or CityCat and ride down to Southbank, River Quay Green to enjoy Sunday Social on the Green.
Hosted every Sunday from 2 pm – 5 pm, the free event is the perfect family-friendly spot to relax by the river, listen to some live music, watch the kids play, and enjoy a picnic and drink (it’s BYO friendly).
Not fussed on packing a picnic? The nearby restaurants also offer hampers to make the whole process a breeze.
